(Junior Strategist)

Teresa Bachinger

(Vita)

Teresa’s creative journey began in her mother’s studio, where she was allowed to let off steam to her heart’s content. She taught herself to read and write in kindergarten so that she could finally write her first “books”. In addition to her creative streak, she quickly developed a commercial ambition. After all, you want to be able to make a good living from your art.

To this day, Teresa is a strategist and creative mind rolled into one. Her bachelor’s degree in business administration deepened the former. It quickly became clear to her: no design without the right strategy. The communication design degree in turn consolidated her creative skills and confirmed: no strategy without the right design.

This combination is what defines the young Salzburg native and runs through all areas of her life: passionate cooking with ingredients selected according to the expiration date, colorful collages made from magazine clippings that would otherwise have to be taken to the waste paper container, walks without a start and without a destination, so that she might one day be able to get by without a GPS.

How did you experience your first day at Solid & Bold?

As soon as I got off my bike, the team – as well as the architecture of the Rauchmühle – immediately made me feel at home. Before I went into the MoMoMee (Monday Morning Meeting), a small bouquet of flowers and a treat from my favorite bakery were waiting for me in the light-flooded office.

This attention to detail, impressive expertise, a (rather large) pinch of crazyness and a great sense of humor is what makes the Solid & Bold team special. Every person, every project is welcomed equally and you can feel it immediately. So when I got back in the saddle at the end of the first day, I was accompanied by a feeling of anticipation, because I knew that this was the right place for me!

What is the most important aspect of design for you?

When I ask this question, I am not so much thinking about specific design elements or concrete rules. I am much more interested in the underlying raison d’être of a design. Well-founded design puts personal, corporate or social questions in the right light and contributes significantly to answering them.

How do you relax after a challenging day at work?

“Before” a challenging working day should actually mean ‘before’ for me. 🙂 I’m an avid early riser (which is exactly when I usually get a funny look) and love to start my day with a grounding yoga session or an invigorating walk. This me-time is sacred to me. That’s why sleeping in as much as possible is rarely an option – it must have been very late the night before.
