The St. Peter Stiftskulinarium shows what happens when the oldest restaurant in the world reinvents itself. Rich history meets pure elegance with a contemporary look.
The historic St. Peter Stiftskulinarium gets a contemporary look: Four illustrated keys from different eras stand as primary visuals to access enjoyment, the long history (803 AD), and proximity to St. Peter Abbey in Salzburg. You are led to a clear word mark as an endorsement. We created elegance and independence in the design line with initials and colored natural paper used throughout communications.

You don’t just give a 1,200 year-old company a simple redesign. You must know the substance. For us, it meant going to the source archives to find the forms and stories … we are treasure hunters too!
Sub-brand names are added to the St. Peter family brand, resulting in new word brands. Illustrated keys from different eras represent the property’s long history and proximity to St. Peter’s Abbey — used as an endorsement.
The Fedrigoni papers are an important recognition feature in the St. Peter Stiftskulinarium brand design. The natural feel and harmonious color scheme are particularly valuable, running as a red thread through all analog communications: menus, business cards, vouchers, and more.
The owl is the pet of the Stiftskulinarium. He lives in the St. Peter courtyard, and this “little connoisseur” has become our most important brand ambassador. From now on, he tells the pleasurable stories about the Stiftskulinarium.
At Christmas time, all hell breaks loose in this beloved Salzburg establishment, so a photoshoot can be a real challenge; good that our photographer André already knew the location and hosts. We got down to the business of staging and didn’t have to familiarize ourselves first. A good shooting plan is essential.
