With the power of nature

Three hotels: DasPosthotel, ZillerLodge, and HochLeger hotels, together with three restaurants: WildeKräuterKitchen, HeLeni, and DieMarie, along with the Eden Bar & Patisserie are part of the ZillerSeasons Luxury Hotel Collection in the Zillertal.

In 2020, the family continued to grow with MalisGarten – Green Spa Hotel, a light-filled 5* hotel inviting guests into a biosphere of relaxation and enjoyment in Matteo Thun´s open architecture. It´s a special place that brings body and mind into harmony — design plays a key role.

idea and implementation

The vocation to be a host with heart and soul is in every detail. International design, precious fabrics, and the latest technology create a cultivated feel-good environment. The brand design supports this place with equally conscious design implementations. The guidance system guides you through the house with clear pictograms. Based on the brand strategy “A Sense of Place,” the claim “Green Spa Hotel” and the name of the excellent “Eden Bar & Patisserie” raise great expectations which the house delivers.

(Brand strategy & brand architecture)

A sense of place: As part of the brand strategy, we developed the ZillerSeasons umbrella brand together with Christina Binder-Egger and her family. It holds it other hotel brands within an overarching brand and is simultaneously a promise of quality.

As a trusted brand, it has ideal benefits while expressing its values and status. It has an identification and integration function. As a service brand, it offers orientation. It creates synergies, optimizes processes, and increases brand value, loyalty, reputation, and the overall image of all brands to achieve better market coverage.

Menus with herbal power: In MalisGarten, the original power of medicinal herbs invigorates from head to toe — be it in the gourmet kitchen, the bar, or Green Spa.

Handmade menus offer orientation in the herbal jungle and allow easy access to the world of medicinal plants. A clear page design and their own codes characterize the dishes in a legend with the corresponding effect. The choice of food is more than just a question of taste.

(Signaling / Signage)

MalisGarten is a 5* hotel in the Zillertal constructed entirely of wood, and designed by star architect Matteo Thun. In the architecture design, special emphasis was placed on local woods and genuine craftsmanship. This was also the inspiration for signage.

The guidance system is made of black, powder-coated metal, neon glass lettering, and hand-made stained glass: With traditional craftsmanship, the signage creates a symbiosis with the architecture — and sets a counterpoint that fits into the big picture.

(Insight)

We use handmade neon glass for the lighting on the building and important waypoints. The signage in the hotel fades into the background due to its filigree design. The steel signs were lasered, glass-beaded, and powder-coated. Fine wire pins ensure a suspension with a shadow play.

(Insight)

We were amazed by the local craftsmanship of glass making and engraving. The 35 luxurious hotel rooms are easy to find with herbal illustrations and numbers on luminous, handcrafted antique glass and also represent the different room categories.

Where the wild things grow: from the underground car park to the orchard. The underground car park is a place that has received little attention, yet it is crucial in the customer journey. After all, it represents the beginning and end of a holiday. Lively illustrations as murals not only beautify the garage but serve as a visual reminder with various hand-painted fruits, helping to remember your parking space.
