A city hotel in the countryside? Urban flair in picturesque Zell am See? Leaving no stone unturned? After the redesign, the Neue Post’s answer to this is clear: Yes please! The traditional hotel in the heart of Zell am See is reinventing itself as an upside-down town hotel.
The fact that conventions are skillfully broken in the hotel is evident in the brand design: Upside Down is taken literally and is reflected in the logo, typography, imagery and the entire interior of the hotel.
The word mark – like the house – becomes a framework in which anything can happen. The words NEUE and POST are used modularly in the subject.
The visual language also turns things upside down: motifs that reflect the content, angles from bottom to top and compositions that you wouldn’t expect break the visual habit.
